Odyssey Wealth Inc. (“Odyssey Wealth,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you visit our website at odysseywealth.ca, contact us, or engage us for financial planning and advisory services.
This policy is written to comply with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
Who we are
Odyssey Wealth Inc. is a financial planning and wealth advisory firm based in Ontario, Canada. Securities-related advice and investment account services are offered through Designed Wealth Management (“DWM”), the dealer through which our advisors are registered. DWM is regulated by the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). Mortgage services are offered through licensed mortgage brokerages and are governed separately by their own privacy practices.
For matters relating to securities accounts, custody, trade confirmations, account statements, or regulatory recordkeeping, DWM acts as the dealer of record and is a co-controller of certain personal information. DWM’s privacy practices are described at designedwealthmanagement.ca/privacy-policy.
What information we collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide and information collected automatically when you interact with our website.
Information you provide directly:
- Identification: name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address.
- Financial information: income, assets, liabilities, investment accounts, employment, dependants, retirement and estate planning details, tax information.
- Goals and circumstances: values, objectives, family situation, health considerations relevant to planning, and other context shared during the planning process.
- Identity verification documents required under anti-money-laundering legislation.
Information collected automatically:
- Website usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies used to operate the site, remember preferences, and measure traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site features may stop working if you do.
Information from third parties:
- Financial institutions and product manufacturers, where you have authorized us to obtain account information.
- Public registries, sanctions and watchlist databases used for regulatory screening.
- Service providers (e.g., scheduling, document signing, customer relationship management).

- Open and administer investment accounts through DWM, including suitability assessments, trade processing, account statements, and tax reporting.
- Verify identity and meet our obligations under anti-money-laundering, tax (including FATCA and CRS where applicable), and securities legislation.
- Communicate with you about your engagement, send appointment reminders, and respond to inquiries.
- Send newsletters and educational content where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter or by contacting us.
- Improve our website and services, including analytics on aggregated usage.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements, including responding to lawful requests from regulators.
We do not use personal information for purposes materially different from those listed without obtaining your consent.
How we share your information
We share personal information only as needed to deliver services or meet legal obligations:
- Designed Wealth Management. Where you become a client of an Odyssey Wealth advisor, information necessary to open and administer your investment accounts is shared with DWM as the dealer of record. DWM uses this information for trade processing, recordkeeping, regulatory reporting, and supervision.
- Custodians, fund manufacturers, and service providers. Including account custodians, transfer agents, portfolio analytics providers, scheduling tools, e-signature platforms, and CRM systems engaged by Odyssey Wealth or DWM under written agreements that require them to protect your information.
- Professional advisors. Where you have asked us to coordinate with your accountant, lawyer, or other professionals.
- Regulators and authorities. Including CIRO, the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization, provincial securities commissions, FINTRAC, the Canada Revenue Agency, and law enforcement, where required by law or in response to lawful requests.
- Successors. In the event of a sale, merger, or reorganization of our business, subject to confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information.
Cross-border transfers
Some of our service providers, and DWM’s, may store or process personal information outside of Canada, including in the United States. When information is held outside of Canada, it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including lawful access by foreign authorities. We use written agreements and reasonable safeguards to protect information transferred across borders.
Consent
By providing personal information to us, you consent to its collection, use, and disclosure as described in this Privacy Policy. Where required by law, we obtain express consent. Retention

Securities-related records are retained by DWM for the periods required under CIRO rules and applicable securities legislation, which is generally seven years or longer. When information is no longer needed, we destroy, erase, or de-identify it using reasonable measures.

We protect personal information using physical, organizational, and technological safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including encrypted storage and transmission, access controls, secure document handling, and confidentiality obligations on staff and service providers. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use strong passwords, enable two-factor authentication where offered, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
